Tropical cyclone kills 17 in India, Bangladesh

NEW DELHI. May 26. KAZINFORM Tropical Cyclone Aila battered eastern India and Bangladesh on Monday, killing at least 17 people and leaving hundreds of others homeless, regional media said; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
The cyclone formed in the Bay of Bengal and approached the coast of Bangladesh and India's West Bengal on Monday afternoon with a wind speed of 120 kilometers (75 miles) per hour; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
