Transport logistic center to be constructed on Kazakh-Chinese border

ASTANA. July 9. KAZINFORM — New cross-border transport and logistics center is planned to be constructed near "Kalzhat" customs post, located on the Kazakh-Chinese border, press service of Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance reports.

Mazhit Yessenbayev, head of Customs Control Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Finance, chaired a meeting with investors who are to establish cross-border transport and logistics center (TLC) at "Kalzhat".

The meeting was attended by K.Omarov, Akim of Uighur district, directory of the Department of Customs Control of Almaty region as well as representatives of Kazakh transport and logistics companies.

"Building transport and logistics infrastructure on the territory of Kazakh-Chinese border will increase sales volume and allow more efficient use of transport and transit potential. TLC is widely implemented in international practice", press-service stated.

"TLC will facilitate integration of Kazakhstan into international global transport and logistics system named "Western China - Western Europe", development of regional economy, the reduction of transportation and logistics costs, creation of favorable conditions for the market of specialized services as well as additional jobs in the region", the Ministry noted.

 

The round table also considered issues of modern technical equipment ensuring customs and other controls that meet the requirements of customs legislation of the Customs Union.
