Transparency in the country to abate corruption - Nazarbayev

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 5 institutional reforms are called to further develop the country and boost people's welfare, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said about the ambitious reforms that are about to sweep the nation in an exclusive interview aired by the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
"In my election campaign I initiated 5 institutional reforms and 100 specific steps that will help implement these reforms. A special commission was formed to ensure smooth implementation of these reforms," President Nazarbayev noted during the interview. "Historically Kazakhstan is a multiethnic country and we have turned it into our advantage. All people in our country are citizens of Kazakhstan regardless of nationality," Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed. The Kazakh leader also added that creation of a transparent state will abate corruption in Kazakhstan. "A lot of work is ahead. And I count on people's support in terms of implementation of these reforms," President Nazarbayev said.
