Transition period on car imports will be in effect until special agr't within Single Economic Space is signed

ASTANA. May 31. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ A transition period on import of foreign cars will be valid till the signing of a special agreement within the framework of the Single Economic Space. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov made it public at the sitting of the Customs Union's Supreme Body in Saint Petersburg.
He noted that the sides agreed to speed up coordination of many positions concerning the single economic space. Herewith the issue of automobile industry development is considered as a priority in Kazakhstan and Russia.
Russian Premier Vladimir Putin said that according to the rules introduced for the transition period automobiles imported to Kazakhstan could not be sold to Russia.
