"Weather changed abruptly about an hour ago, and a heavy snowfall started. The road connecting South Ossetia to Russia was closed until further notice," the ministry's Yulia Starchenko told Itar-Tass.

The traffic resumed at 11:30 a.m. Moscow time on Sunday, after heavy snowfalls isolated South Ossetia from Russia on January 23 night.
