Trade unions in Kazakhstan to be systematized

"We believe it is necessary to review the law on trade unions. The working group is currently developing proposals. We should pay special attention to sectoral trade unions," the Deputy Minister said.

He also emphasized that a sectoral trade union should be responsible for the sector in whole and protect the rights of all employees as well as take part in the improvement of law knowledge of workers.

"We need to bring under regulation the process of trade unions establishment. Establishment of trade unions should be systematic," B.Nurymbatov said.

The Deputy Minister also said that trade unions should be more expert in the issues of labor legislation as long as in case of a labor conflict, its settlement depends on their competence.

"When it comes to protection of rights of an employee, social partnership should be in advance. Social partnership implies that representatives of workers, employers and state bodies resolve problems in cooperation and by negotiations," the Deputy Minister said.
