Trade union official’s Day to be celebrated in Astana

Within the framework of the event there will be fairs, sport competitions, performance of artists, premium drawing. Besides, for active delegates of trade union activity there will be a round table with the participation of representatives of chief executive officers of trade unions’ social partners - Ministry of labor and social protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan and NEC “Atameken”. It’s expected that in the course of the round table a memorandum on cooperation will be signed.

Celebration of Trade union official’s Day will involve delegates - representatives of regional and branch trade unions from all regions of the republic. The purpose of the large-scale celebration is to announce the start of Trade unions Federation activity in a new form. In the nearest future quality changes are expected in the Federation activity.

Today trade unions of Kazakhstan include 26 branch trade unions on the republican level and 14 regional trade unions. Approximately 2,1 mln people are in the Trade unions Federation. 1,1 mln of the work in spheres of medicine and education, 5 000 are students and pensioners. And other members of trade unions are real economy workers. According to the official statistics, the number of wage workers amounts to 5,8 mln people. And only 30% of them are in trade unions.

Let us recall, that folk festivals are taking place on October 5, in front of the building of Trade unions Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
