Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Korea to reach level of over USD 2 bln - President

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has said it at a press conference on the results of the negotiations with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak.
"My visit is aimed at expansion and deepening of trade-economic cooperation between our countries. The world financial crisis affected our trade turnover. According to the results of the last year, its volume decreased by a third and made up USD 505 mln. But I think that we will exceed a 2-bln level", the Head of the State resumed.
According to N.Nazarbayev, the South Korean leadership in the technology sphere and resource endowment in Kazakhstan define wide opportunities and great potential for development our partnership.
As the Kazakh President noted, 300 joint enterprises with participation of the Korean capital are operating in Kazakhstan. Over last five-six years the total volume of direct investments from South Korea to our economy made up about USD 4 bln. For further cooperation development effective implementation of the Kazakh-Korean Actions Plan for Cooperation has great significance.
"Kazakhstan realizes the State Program of Forced Industrial and Innovative Development as well as South Korea. We will launch a large number of enterprises", the Kazakh President said.
