Tourism Minister accounts for the work executed

He accounted for the work of the Ministry on improvement of the legal base of the tourism and sport sphere, implementation of the state policy in development of the domestic infrastructure of tourism and sport, creation of an attractive tourist image of the country and promotion of sports. T.Dosmukhambetov noted that, in the connection with the global recession, last year the number of foreign tourists decreased till 4.7 mln people, and in 2007 5.3 mln tourists came to our country. The number of Kazakhstanis traveled abroad for tourism increased by 15.3 percent, their total number reached 5.2 mln people. The domestic travel increased by 4.3 percent and reached 4.2 mln people. .
