ASTANA. KAZINFORM - It is high time for gradual transition of top-ranking Kazakhstani universities to academic autonomy, says Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor of the Seyfullin Kazakh Agro Technical University Askhat Tleuov.
"As the best global practices suggest, gradual transition of the leading Kazakhstani universities to academic autonomy is needed for training of highly skilled specialists and creation of effective system of students' support," Dr. Tleuov said at a press briefing of the Central Communications Service in Astana on Tuesday. He also added that global food demand is going to grow in the future. "Kazakhstan needs to set up a network of new processing enterprises in the agrarian sectors, especially in the form of SME," Professor Tleuov stressed.
