'Top Gun' director Tony Scott jumps to death from bridge

LOS ANGELES. August 20. KAZINFORM Hollywood filmmaker Tony Scott, who made a string of big-screen action movies, has jumped to his death from a bridge over Los Angeles Harbour.

A suicide note is said to have been found, the euronews said.
Onlookers saw the British-born director park his car and jump into the water below. His body was later recovered from the harbour.
Frequently seen behind the camera in his signature faded red baseball cap, Scott, 68, was married with twin sons.
He is best known for his work on the 1986 fighter jet adventure Top Gun, starring Tom Cruise.
The brother of fellow filmmaker Ridley Scott, he is credited with directing more than two dozen films and TV shows and producing nearly 50 titles.
