Tokyo hosts 52nd meeting of OANA Executive Board
Hosted by Japan's Kyodo News Agency, the 52nd meeting the Executive Board of the Organization of Asia Pacific News Agencies (OANA) has been held in Tokyo, AzerTAC reported.
OANA vice-president and member of the Executive Board - AZERTAC News Agency also participated in the meeting, with the attendance of 14 member agencies represented in the Executive Board. OANA, chaired by Iran's IRNA agency, currently includes 44 news agencies from 35 countries.
The participants also discussed financial, technical and organizational issues. The member news agencies agreed to hold competitions in the "Best Photo" and "Best Article" categories every year. They also exchanged views on the activities of the organization's website, activity in social media, as well as media support for member agencies.
The Executive Board unanimously decided that the next meeting will be held in Moscow in September this year
