Tokayev, Tull discuss creation of UN-managed Regional Hub in Kazakhstan

At the meeting, Speaker Tokayev said that cooperation with the United Nations is one of the priorities of Kazakhstan's foreign policy and pointed out the importance of global celebration of the 70th anniversary of this essential and unequalled organization. Stephen Tull, in turn, briefed Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev on the special events to mark the 70th anniversary, the day-to-day functioning of the UNDP in Kazakhstan and the UN-Kazakhstan Partnership Framework for Development for 2016-2020. The sides also touched upon the issues related to the establishment of the UN-managed Regional Hub of Civil Service in Kazakhstan. Speaker Tokayev stressed the United Nations should attract highly qualified young specialists from Kazakhstan and the UNDP could play a role in that process.
