Tokayev meets with delegation of United Russia party, Asian Parliament Assembly Sec Gen

ASTANA. September 25. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakh Senate Chairman, member of the Bureau of the Political Council of the Nur Otan People's Democratic Party Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has held a meeting with a delegation of United Russia (Yedinaya Rossiya) party, which is taken part in the V General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties.

Exchange of opinions on the issues regarding strengthening interparty ties and bilateral cooperation was held at the meeting.

First Vice Chairman of the faction of Yedinaya Rossiya party in State Duma Vladimir Pekhtin appraised the forum held in Astana and spoke for strengthening interparty ties.

K.Tokayev received Secretary General of the Asian Parliament Assembly, His Excellency Dr. M. H. Nejad-Hosseinian.

Exchange of opinions on the issues regarding coordination of efforts of the national parliaments in solution of topical problems of modernity, their role growth in ensuring peace in the Asian regionwas carried out at the meeting.

K.Tokayev noted that the ICAPP General Assembly held in Astana promotes development of interparty and interparliamentary ties, is an effective form of interaction in struggle against such challenges like extremism, local conflicts, negative influence of the crisis, and increases a role of the Asian organizations and Nur Otan Party.

Dr. M. H. Nejad-Hosseinian expressed confidence in success of the upcoming Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE, which he defined an important event for all countries of the Asian continent.
