Tokayev highlights role of major business to unleash Kazakh economy’s enormous potential
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said effective cooperation between the State and major business owners will help address the tasks set, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.
There is no way to fully unleash the Kazakh economy’s potential without major businesses. There should be breakthrough projects whether in infrastructure, industry or digitalization to take to a new level the economic development, urged the Kazakh President during today’s meeting with domestic business representatives.
President Tokayev went on to highlight the need to look for new growth areas.
There are huge opportunities yet to be seized in the transport and logistics sphere amid the ongoing geopolitical realities and global trade environment. There is a growing interest in rail, road and air cargo transport, that is coming to the forefront or called the 'gold mine' according to some analysts. Tourism is another promising sector, as foreigners demonstrate particular interest to the pristine nature of Kazakhstan, traditions and historic heritage of our nation, said Tokayev.
The Head of State pointed out that Kazakhstan has huge potential in tourism even though many gaps and shortcomings appear when it comes to it.
Earlier, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the need for Kazakhstan to adapt to new realities.
