Tokayev reported on outcomes of polit project for civil servants selection via e-Qyzmet system

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the results of the work of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs for 2023 and got familiarized with the plans for the upcoming period, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

The Agency’s chairman Darkhan Zhazykbai briefed the President about the work to form a hybrid model of civil service combining the elements of career and positional models.

The information was presented about the measures aimed at forming an open state apparatus, including for attracting specialists from the private sector, out-of-competition appointment of university graduates to entry-level posts.

The Head of State was familiarized with the results of the pilot project for selection for the civil service via the e-Qyzmet system, leading to a 2.7 time increase in the number of participants in competitions for vacant posts. This year, phased introduction of the selection system e-Qyzmet has begun in all government bodies.

Tokayev was also informed about the activity of the Agency in the field of control overt he quality of public services, red tape reduction in governance.

Following the meeting, the President instructed to continue the work to form a service and client orientated-type of state apparatus, to develop professional development of civil servants and introduce modern technology to the civil service system.
