Senate Speaker Kairat Mami has read out an address of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"The modern world experiences the period of profound transformation, searches for effective responses on common challenges, new models of humanity development. Today it is important to boost interaction of the states in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms, support of entrepreneurship and free competition, exchange experience and information, together elaborate new forms of human right work. Such events as this conference have great significance for consolidation of efforts of prosecutor's offices of modern states and for elaboration of international standards of prosecutor's activity," the statement reads.
Kazakh Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev delivered a welcome speech, noting that in conditions of Kazakhstan integration into the world community a joint work with international organizations is an important consolidated factor.
Prosecutors' delegations from 45 countries as well as representatives of the UN, OSCE, Eurojust and other authoritative international organizations take part in the conference.
