To be among world's most developed states, Kazakhstan needs social foundation: Political expert

ALMATY. January 20. KAZINFORM A well-known Kazakhstani political expert Sain Borbassov shares his thoughts on the State-of-the-Nation Address delivered by President Nursultan Nazarbayev Friday (January 17).

"This address is quite practical. The President raised the problems that Kazakhstan is facing today in the field of social, political and economic modernization. They are aimed at the implementation of the Kazakhstan-2050 Development Strategy," Doctor of Political Science Borbassov said.

"The address makes it crystal clear that domestic agro-industrial complex will become the cornerstone of Kazakshtani economy's development in the nearest future. To join the club of the world's most developed countries, we need solid social foundation based on the middle class. The President instructed the government and local authorities to provide favorable conditions for the development of small and medium business and farming. This move will help shape up the middle class in the country," he added.
