Timoshenko to challenge presidential poll results in court

KIEV. February 15. KAZINFORM The Timoshenko bloc on Monday will appeal to Ukraine's Supreme Administrative Court to challenge the presidential poll results, leader of the bloc's faction in the Ukrainian parliament Ivan Kirilenko told journalists, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

"We are filing an appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court today," Kirilenko said, adding that under the current legislation, Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, as a candidate for presidency, has a right to challenge the presidential voting results.

On Sunday, Ukraine's Central Election Commission officially declared Viktor Yanukovich president elect of the country. The inauguration ceremony is expected to be held in the national parliament on February 25, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com
