Three wind stations might be built in Mangystau rgn

AKTAU. October 29. KAZINFORM In Mangistau region, within the framework of transfer of production capacity to a green economy, there are plans to build three wind farms. Thishas been stated today at the briefing by the head of Energy and Housing in Mangystau region Bakytzhan Utegaliev.

"In Tupkaragan area, near Fort-Shevchenko, we are intending to start construction of wind power plants with capacity of 19.5 MW and 42 MW. Projects have already been elaborated, they are at the Ministry of Environmental Protection for coordination. It is also taking into consideration the application of the company named «Energy Worldwide Holding» for construction of wind farms in the Karakiyan area with capacity of 150 MW. Currently there is a process of registration of land. Funding for these projects comes from private investment funds, the budget means will not be attracted", said B. Utegaliev.

According to him there are other projects using renewable energy sources, including hybrid systems. So, one already signed a contract for supply of hybrid installation to a farm in Mangystau region at the expense of subsoil users. Setup and installation of the equipment will be carried out in the near future.
