Three of four Kazakh students detained in Egypt released

ASTANA. June 1. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Four Kazakh citizens who were students of preparation courses at Egyptian universities were detained as a result of routine inspection of observance of the temporary residency laws and regulations by foreigners, official representative of the Kazakh MFA Yerzhan Ashikbayev said.
?According to our Embassy in Cairo, four Kazakhstanis were detained; three of them have been released. The Embassy is negotiating with the law enforcement authorities with regards to the fourth detainee?, Y.Ashikbayev said.
According to Yerzhan Ashikbayev, the main cause of detention was violation of the rules of stay in Egypt by the foreign citizens. ?It was either expired visa or other requirements have been violated?, Y.Ashikbayev said to journalists.
?In this connection I want to warn Kazakhstani citizens travelling abroad to observe the laws and regulations of temporary stay in any country?, Y.Ashikbayev noted.
