Three CU draft technical regulations brought up for public discussion

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Three technical regulations of the Customs Union "On the requirements for the energy efficiency of electric power consuming devices", "On safety equipment for children's playgrounds" and "On Restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products" have been brought up for public discussion, according to the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Information and New Technologies of Kazakhstan.
In accordance with the Regulations on the CU technical regulations' development, adoption, amendment and cancellation, draft technical regulations' public discussion period is set to be not less than 60 calendar days from the date of posting notices on their making on the official website of the Common Economic Commission. Public discussion of the submitted projects will be finished May 20, 2014.
