Three cities to contend for right to host 2018 Winter Olympics

MOSCOW. October 16. KAZINFORM. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Friday the list of contenders for the 2018 Winter Olympics; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
France's Annecy, Germany's Munich and South Korea's Pyeongchang have submitted bids.
Pyeongchang lost to Canada's Vancouver and Russia's Sochi in subsequent bids to host the 2010 and 2014 Olympics.
The host city for the 2018 Winter Games will be named at the IOC's 123rd session, to be held in Durban, South Africa in July 2011; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
