Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva congratulated Kazakhstanis on Mother's Day, marked on the second Sunday of May, Qazinform News Agency reports.

In her message, Balayeva highlighted the vital role of mothers in Kazakhstani society and underscored the importance of family values.

According to her, the image of mothers has always held a cherished place in Kazakh culture, and the values ​​passed down from generation to generation remain the cornerstone of the nation's unity and spiritual strength.

"This is a special and truly warm holiday, filled with love, gratitude, and respect. This day is dedicated to those who give us life, love, and care," the message reads.

Aida Balayeva also noted that Kazakhstan consistently advances state policies supporting motherhood and families with children, including expanding social assistance, strengthening the preschool education system, and introducing responsible parenting programs.

"A mother embodies an entire world  of warmth, tenderness, unconditional love, and support. May your families always be filled with warmth, love, and comfort," the minister emphasized.

Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May in more than 20 countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, Turkiye, Japan, Brazil, and Australia. In Kazakhstan, Mother's Day was officially established in 2023. This date defines the status of mothers and has special significance for Kazakhstanis
