Third Ministerial Conference of the Istanbul Process on Afghanistan starting in Almaty

ALMATY. April 26. KAZINFORM - Today in Almaty is beginning the Third Ministerial Conference of the Istanbul process, which will be opened with a welcome address of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The conference involves the foreign ministers of 14 countries in the region, including Afghanistan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates. In addition, the event will be attended by senior officials from other countries as observers and 11 international organizations.
Istanbul process on Afghanistan launched at the end of November 2, 2011 in Istanbul, the International Conference on Afghanistan at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in the format of "The Heart of Asia". Istanbul is a catalyst for the process of integration of Afghanistan into the economic and political life of the region as an equal and responsible partner.
