These elections were best-organized and democratic in history of Central Asia - President
"Having voted for the policy we conduct, for the course of stability and prosperity we move towards every Kazakhstani voted for his own future, future of his family, for his country,' N. Nazarbayev noted.
The President also recalled the first elections held in December of 1991 and how it felt at that moment.
"Then we had other goals, we were among the debris of the collapsed superpower. We had to worry about stopping the decline in production, inflation. We had goals of paying salaries and pensions in time. We had to worry about the territories of our country in the world full of threats and challenges. We did not have our own currency. We had no strategic reserves, no army for protecting our borders. It is tough to imagine but it's been 20 years already since then," the President recalled.
