ASTANA. October 21. KAZINFORM There is no need in the U.S. air base in Kazakhstan, CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha thinks.
In his words, the Kyrgyz authorities have already made a decision on the closure of the U.S. air base in the territory of the Manas air port in Bishkek. Mr. Bordyuzha confirmed the information during a press conference on October 21.
The CSTO Secretary General also believes that Kyrgyzstan has already greatly contributed to fight against global terrorism through lending the Manas airport to the U.S. air base. "The U.S. is withdrawing its forces from Afghanistan and there is no need in that air base anymore," he concluded.
