There are good opportunities for soft adjustments of tenge by end of 2010

ALMATY. January 6. KAZINFORM /Sara Mustafina/ Accession of Kazakhstan to the Customs Union this year is another important precondition for the actions of the National Bank of Kazakhstan; "Troika Dialogue" JSC experts believe.
The rise of flexibility for tenge towards dollar is necessary so that Kazakhstan could adapt for its principal trade partner - Russia.
"We do not think the National Bank will actively intervene at the foreign currency market as it was earlier, and see good opportunities for soft adjustments of tenge by the end of 2010", - they said.
Though the National Bank will keep targeted average exchange rate at the level of 150.0 tenge per a dollar, it will extend the national currency band towards the US dollar from 145.5 - 154.5 up to 127.5 - 165.0 tenge per a dollar.
