BAKU. KAZINFORM - Economic measures noted by Nursultan Nazarbayev in his Address to the Nation against the global economic downturn will undoubtedly contribute to the sustainable economic development of the country, said Azerbaijan Energy Minister Natig Aliyev during an exclusive interview with Kazinform.

"Many people know that the President of Kazakhstan annually performs address to the nation which sets targets for the coming years. Mr. Nazarbayev is one of the most experienced, wise and influential politicians in the post-Soviet space. He is a man who loves his country, his people and is deeply concerned about their future. Thanks to his efforts, Kazakhstan has achieved rapid economic enhancement after independence. Economy, infrastructure, quality of life in Kazakhstan have improved significantly in the past two decades," the Minister said.

According to Mr. Aliyev, in response to the world's pessimistic expectations related to the global economy, Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced the parameters of the new economic policy of Kazakhstan for the next five years. This refers to unprecedented measures of Kazakhstan's economy development through large-scale infrastructure projects including construction of transport and logistics infrastructure, roads, modernization of housing and communal services.
President of Kazakhstan pays much attention to infrastructure projects which will, undoubtedly, stimulate economic growth," said Aliyev.

"It is undeniable that the path chosen by Nursultan Nazarbayev is correct and well-directed," concluded the Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev.
