The EU-funded project organizes a know-how seminar in Aktobe

AKTOBE. November 12. KAZINFORM  On 12 November 2012 the EU-funded project (2010-2013) "Support to Judicial and Legal Reform in the Republic of Kazakhstan", with a budget of 3.4 million Euro, hosted a seminar on "Institution of Private Bailiffs in Kazakhstan".

This seminar was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Enforcement of court decisions is a major factor in the development of legal and judicial reform in Kazakhstan. The seminar was aimed to exchange the practical experiences of private bailiffs in Europe and private bailiffs in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Institute of private bailiff was introduced in Kazakhstan by the Law of Republic of Kazakhstan dated from April 2, 2010 "On Enforcement Proceedings and the status of a bailiff". The introduction of private bailiff September 2011 is a decisive step in implementing one of the main priorities of the judicial system - court enforcement. Quality and enforcement of court decisions is one of the guarantee of the independence and efficiency of the judicial system, the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan said.

The private bailiffs, who have started the professional career in Kazakhstan, were acquainted with good European practices of the institution of private bailiffs, where the system of private judicial execution is already working for many years.

This event was a continuation of series of the seminars for private bailiffs in the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of RK, the Supreme Court of RK and the EU Project.

The seminar was attended by the European expert Mr Patrick Safar, member of Chamber of private bailiffs in France.

The European Union project "Support to Judicial and Legal Reform in the Republic of Kazakhstan" is implemented by the international consortium led by the Paris-based Agency for International Judicial Cooperation JCI with ICON (Germany) and Louis Berger (France).
