Ten killed in train accident in Spain

MADRID. June 24. KAZINFORM At least 10 people were killed after a train hit a group of youngsters who were walking across tracks at a rail station in northeastern Spain late Wednesday, local media said; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.

Fifteen others were wounded in the the accident at the Castelldefels Playa station near Barcelona, Spanish national radio said.

The youngsters were taking part annual Saint John's Day celebrations which fell on June 23. There is a walking underpass at the station, but those young people chose to walk on the tracks; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
