Temporary operational working group of CSTO to visit Kyrgyzstan

As the press service of the CSTO Secretariat informs, the main purpose of the visit is assessment of the situation in the country on the ground resulted from interethnic clashes and riots in the south of the country.

The main purpose of the working group is assessment of the military-political situation in Kyrgyzstan, rendering of assistance to the law-enforcement bodies of the country in mitigation of consequences of the riots. The OSCE delegation will visit Bishkek, Osh and Jalalabad.

Upon the results of the work additional proposals for the CSTO member states aimed at assistance to the law-enforcement bodies of Kyrgyzstan in localization, riots cease and curbing the extremists' activities will be elaborated.

Representatives of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan as well as members of the CSTO Secretariat and Joint Staff of the Organization are among the members of the group.
