Temirtau plunges into darkness due to fire at electric power station

KARAGANDA. December 19. KAZINFORM Dozens of residential complexes in the town of Temirtau in Karaganda region were left without electricity due to a small fire at the local electric power plant.
"Current transformer caught fire and left several houses in the area in the darkness Thursday morning. The repair works are underway," local emergencies department informs.
In addition, a storm wind ripped off roofs of two 9-story residential complexes in one of the microdistricts in Temirtau the same day. It is impossible to start urgent remedial work due to weather conditions in the region.
