Teacher beats her husband to death in S Kazakhstan

SHYMKENT. December 24. KAZINFORM A 44-year-old resident of Sairamsk district of South Kazakhstan region suspected of beating her husband to death has been detained.
On 21 December locals reported to the police of a body showing signs of violent death found at one of the houses. The victim turned out to be a resident of Sairamsk district, thought to be in his 60s, who died of head trauma.
His wife, a local teacher, was detained by the police in the course of investigative work.
The police found out that husband's drinking habits caused numerous fights between the spouses; the man abused his wife. On the day of the tragedy the wife and her drunken spouse had a spat. And as a result, the woman took a lump of wood and knocked him on the head. After that she dragged the unconscious body into the house and left for work.
An investigation has been initiated.
