Taxi driver arrested for woman's rape and murder

A. Doskaliyeva, born in 1989, went missing on August 14, 2014 in Zelenovsk district of West Kazakhstan region.  Her body was discovered on September 20 in dense coastal thickets of Kushumskiy canal. Criminal law experts examined the scene and confirmed that the woman was raped before killing.

12 September a 40-year-old man came to the attention of police. He worked as a cab driver and used his brother's "VAZ-2106". Previously, he was 5 times convicted of theft and looting. According to witnesses, on the day of the tragedy A. Doskaliyeva took the cab driven by the detainee. CCTV cameras had registered the victim taking the cab.

September 22 the suspect was detained by the officers of IAD and put into a temporary detention center of Uralsk. September 24 the man was arrested under the authority of the court.
