Taraz holds regional forum on domestic content issues

ZHAMBYL OBLAST. February 11. KAZINFORM /Galina Skripnik/ A regional forum regarding increase of domestic content has kicked off in Taraz today. The conference is chaired by First Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev who is on a working trip around Zhambyl oblast.

As is known, Government's special group headed by Shukeyev has arrived in Taraz in order to check out the course of realization of the tasks and objectives set in the President's message to the nation. Zhambyl oblast is the fourth region in the operational group's tour map.

The forum has gathered representatives of the ministries, Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund JSC, national companies, holdings, akimats of Zhambyl, South Kazakhstan, Almaty oblasts as well as representatives of south Kazakhstan's ventures.

Within the forum the Ministry of Agriculture and Kazphosphate LLP entered into a memorandum of cooperation on sale of mineral fertilizers and their subsidizing to the sum of KZT 7 bln. Kazelectromontazh LLP and Taraz Metallurgical Plant LLP agreed on building and construction work to the sum of KZT 2.7 bln. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC and Zapchast' JSC also concluded an agreement on cooperation.

According to Akim of the oblast Kanat Bozumbayev, last year the region's enterprises and organizations signed 62 memorandums worth KZT 42.3 bln in order to raise domestic content in their procurements.
