Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan extends Christmas greetings to Orthodox Christians

ASTANA. January 7. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Sheikh Absattar Hajji Derbisali, Chairman of the Central Asian Council of Muftis, Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Kazakhstan Muslims, Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan sent a telegram of congratulations to Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan Alexander on Christmas, the announcement on the official website of the Metropolitan district in Kazakhstan reads.
"Let me congratulate you and all Orthodox Christians of Kazakhstan on the occasion of Christmas. Enduring friendship of Islam and Orthodoxy in Kazakhstan proves that spiritual heritage give support to the development of the society and sound spiritual health of all Kazakhstanis," the message reads.
Sheikh Absattar Hajji Derbisali highlighted the role of the policy of Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev in building an atmosphere of peace and consent in the country.
The Supreme Mufti wished all Orthodox Christians good health, wellbeing and joy to their hearts.
