Support of small and medium businesses in crisis period ? Nur Otan National Platform

ASTANA. May 15. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ According to the National Platform of Nur otan People?s Democratic Party, small and medium businesses were determined as the basis of the country?s socio-economic development. KZT 120 mln have been allotted additionally to the National Budget?s funds for the development of the sector in 2009. The money has been placed on the deposits of the second tier banks.
These funds must be utilized by July 1, 2009, the Prime minister said. By May 1 the banks have concluded agreements on 2 851 projects amounting to KZT 88.7 bln. 1 267 projects to the sum of KZT 47.9 bln have been financed.
Special attention is given to purchase of goods, works and services from the domestic producers within the program on local content increasing.
Huge work has been done on removal of administrative barriers hindering the development of business and provision of favorable conditions for competition taking into consideration the prospects of post-crisis development.
Moratorium on inspection of small and medium business was extended till July 1, 2009.
