Summit in Washington was great success: N.Nazarbayev

ASTANA. April 16. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "The Global Nuclear Summit in Washington was a great success", President N.Nazarbayev has said today at the briefing in Akorda.
"The Summit ended successfully by the unanimous declaration of Heads of State. The discussions were mostly held behind closed doors. My report on our positions beginning from closing the Semipalatinsk Test Site that is an analogue of the Nevada Test Site in the USA and our renounce of nuclear weapons were highly appraised by the world community. Today it is proved that we made right move for the world's benefit, for the benefit of the mankind and, first of all, for Kazakhstan's benefit. Due to it our country today is widely respected", N.Nazarbayev said.
The President noted that there is a shift toward security in the world.
