Success of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in OSCE is in common interest of all CSTO participants – L. Sliska
"Election of Kazakhstan, the first republic of the former USSR, to chair OSCE in 2010 has become an apparent evidence of efficiency of our joint efforts on the international arena. The way towards this was not easy and became a logical result of the achievements of Kazakh people and its leadership in economy, politics and social development as well as long-term expedient joint efforts of Kazakhstan's partners within CSTO and CIS", she noted.
She also emphasized the significance and timeliness of the initiatives proposed by the new OSCE chairman on holding the 2010 OSCE Summit as well as the conference on tolerance.
"The success of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in OSCE is in common interest of all CSTO participants. Priorities presented by Kazakhstan for its chairmanship as rapprochement of East and West, formation of culture of trust, joint search for solution of Afghan problem, consideration of OSCE main three 'baskets' - security, environment and economy including the aspects of human dimension - fully meet fundamental interests of our nations", L. Sliska emphasized.
