Strategy of transport-logistic system of Kazakhstan presented in Almaty

Deputy President of "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC Yerkhat Iskaliyev presented the strategy of transport and logistics system of Kazakhstan at a session of the workshop "Kazakhstan - New Silk Road - Bridge between Europe and Asia", the press service informed.

Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Zhenis Kasymbek, in his turn, said that a competitive environment for transport services was created in Kazakhstan in order to accelerate integration of the Kazakhstani transport complex into the international transport system and development of the transit potential of the country.  

The participants of the session discussed the issues regarding further implementation of the project, development of the global transit through the territory of Kazakhstan and intermodal solutions in the logistics.

At the end of the meeting, recommendations of the workshop participants emphasizing the importance of "Kazakhstan - New Silk Road" project and establishment of the National Transport and Logistics Company of the world level were approved. Besides, the participants complimented the work conducted by Kazakhstan on establishment of transcontinental and international logistic hubs that would serve as a symbol for development of the logistics and economy of Central Asia.

Delegations of 16 countries representing state authorities and private business in the sphere of transport, trade and logistics as well as representatives of international and regional organizations and financial institutions such as the OSCE, UNECE, EurAsEC, IGC TRACECA and the Asia Development Bank took part in the workshop.
