Strategy-2050- milestone of Parliament's activity: Nigmatulin

ASTANA. June 28. KAZINFORM Speaking at the joint session of Parliament's Houses, Chairman of Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin said that the second session is one of the most important, the press service of the Majilis reports.

"It was marked, first of all, by the beginning of a new stage of our country's development, where the milestone is the Address by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Leader of the Nation, Nursultan Nazarbayev "Strategy Kazakhstan-2050": new political course of the established state", where an all-round plan of Kazakhstan development for many decades is stated," Nurlan Nigmatulin emphasized.

The Speaker pointed out the results of the activity allow to note that the Parliament, in general, has fulfilled tasks on Address' legislation provision, social modernization program, instructed by the President at the opening session in September 2012.

Besides, the Majilis Chairman noted a higher level of interaction between factions, and in relationship with the Government.

"Currently, factions demonstrate serious, professional approach to the work," Nigmatulin added.

In total, the last session held three joint sessions of the Parliament, 38 plenary meetings of Majilis and 27 plenary sessions of the Senate, which reviewed, approved and submitted for President's signature 96 laws.
