Strategic Partnership Agreement signing between Kazakhstan and Turkey is historical event - Abdullah Gul
The Kazakh and Turkish presidents took part in the Kazakh-Turkish business forum held in the Istanbul Congress Center.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul announced that signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement is a historical event.
"Kazakhstan is a fraternal country. We have never forgotten about this. Because of it the Turkic Council was created, of which we dreamed for 17 years. Nursultan Nazarbayev was an initiator of its creation. Under his leadership Kazakhstan began to play an important role at the world arena. In the future the Turkish entrepreneurs want to make their contribution to Kazakhstan's development", the Turkish President said.
Nursultan Nazarbayev, in his term, noted that the Kazakh-Turkish trade-economic cooperation grows and ties between representatives of business circles develop.
"We overcame the world crisis with the help of the National Fund. USD 19 bln was allocated for the national economy support. As a result 400.000 jobs were created, the social sphere was supported. Significant funds were allocated for agriculture support. We gathered a good harvest - 23 mln tones of grain. There will be further prosperity of Kazakhstan after the crisis", the President said.
N.Nazarbayev told about industrial and innovation program, implementation of which will be started in 2010. He attracted businessmen's attention to that within its framework there will be developed seven spheres of economy - agriculture, construction industry, energy, chemistry, pharmacy, infrastructure and metallurgy.
"If you invest in these fields, your business will prosper. I call you for this! We have all conditions for it", the President said.
The Kazakh leader noted that the visit to Turkey was very fruitful and highly estimated its results.
