Storm alert still in effect in Karaganda region

Storm alert warning Karaganda region residents of blizzard, ice slick and wind gusting up to 15-20 mps and even 23-28 mps is still in effect, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Sections of the Balkhash, Novostroyka-Aksu-Ayuly, Yekaterinburg-Almaty, Kyzylorda-Pavlodar, Karaganda - border of Pavlodar region highways were shut down due to bad weather conditions. Sections of 16 motorways of regional significance remain closed for all types of vehicles.
Karaganda rescuers evacuated 22 people, including 4 children, on roads of the region in the past 24 hours. 30 people, including one child, were rescued from a bus on the Karaganda-Temirtau highway.
