Mets issued a storm alert for Astana and 12 regions of Kazakhstan on July 3, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.
Astana is forecast to brace for thunderstorms, hail and high wind.
Heavy downpours, hail, squalls, and thunderstorms are expected to batter today Akmola region.
Abai, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan regions are predicted to face heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail and squalls.
The fire threat remains high in Abai region, while Aktobe region is set to wake up to foggy streets.
Thunderstorms and sweltering temperatures are forecast to grip Atyrau, West Kazakhstan regions.
