Still no trace of 7th passenger of AN-2 plane that crashed in Zhambyl region

TARAZ. KAZINFORM - Rescuers are desperately searching for the 7th passenger of the doomed AN-2 airplane that crashed in Shuisk district, Zhambyl region on Tuesday (January 20).

The aircraft owned by Olymp-Air Company based in Karaganda fell not far away from Shatyrkol mine in Zhambyl region at 15:40 p.m. 5 corpses were found inside the crashed plane. One passenger, a woman, survived the terrible crash and was hospitalized. According to reports, the survivor has sustained a lot of severe injuries and will have to undergo two surgeries. The rescue crews are currently searching for the 7th passenger who was on board of the AN-2 plane bound for Shatyrkol. Earlier it was reported that the flight with 3 crewmembers and 4 passengers, the employees of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, on board left Balkhash at 12:09 p.m. and was scheduled to land in Shatyrkol, Zhambyl region at 14:40 p.m.
