Stiff wind and fog grip most regions of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazhydromet, Kazakhstan's national forecaster, says western, northwestern and southwestern Kazakhstan will enjoy weather without precipitation today, February 25.
However, other regions of the country will be tormented by blowing snow and stiff wind. Fog will blanket Akmola, Almaty, South Kazakhstan and Zhambyl regions. Wind with gusts up to 15-20 meters per second is expected in Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Almaty, South Kazakhstan and Akmola regions. Mangystau, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Kostanay and Karaganda regions will be steeped in fog. Gusty wind will bring blizzard to Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan regions. Residents of Almaty and South Kazakhstan regions are recommended to be cautious because of black ice.
