State support measures for retail trade developed in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. August 20. KAZINFORM The basic measures of support of retail trade in Kazakhstan are aimed to protect economic interests of the agricultural producers sailing their products in the retail chain and stabilize prices for the basic food products, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade reports.

As the Ministry informs, the mentioned above measures include strengthening of agricultural enterprises by means of development of development of consumer's cooperatives, establishment of an efficient wholesale chain, development of modern trade formats.

Besides, the measures on improvement of the taxation system and improvement of the legislation in the sphere of domestic trade will be taken, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh PM's official website.

These measures require development of a number of documents such as the Program on Retail Sector and Trade Infrastructure Modernization - 2020 on the analogy of the Business Road Map - 2020 Program and the Concept of Consumer's Cooperatives Development. The later is to be developed jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture and will be aimed to render state support to all kinds of consumer's cooperatives, the Ministry reports.

Currently, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade works on proposals on establishment of a mechanism of modernization of the retail sector and trade infrastructure for 2013-2020.
