State Counselor Karin hails mass digitization of archival documents relating to Kazakh history
As part of his working visit to Almaty, Kazakh State Counselor Erlan Karin familiarized with the activities of the Central State Archive, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.
Karin pointed out that under the Comprehensive Action Plan for implementation of the Archive 2025 project for 2020/25, much has been done, including mass digitization of unique archival documents relating to the history of Kazakhstan.
In his turn, Central State Archive Director Sabit Shildebay spoke about archival storage and recording. He went on to note that it has been possible to establish a pool of most valuable documents and materials over a century-long history of operation of the Central State Archive.
The Kazakh State Counselor highlighted that development of the archival system of the country is one of the priorities of the state policy.
