State bodies discuss cooperation in foreign investments attraction
The event was held within the fulfillment of the Presidential instructions given at the recent enlarged meeting with the Cabinet members, heads of central executive bodies, Nur Otan Party and Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund. Attraction of foreign investments and innovations to the country were defined by the Head of State as one of major objectives of ensuring economic growth.
During the conference A. Issekeshev outlined the main directions of Kazakhstan's investment policy and the governmental measures aimed at ensuring the country's investment climate.
"As is known, Kazakhstan faces today huge tasks connected with forced industrialization which allows making considerable breakthrough in our further development. Direct foreign investments are called to become one of the most important components of the country's forced industrial-innovative development", A. Issekeshev said.
"Despite the growing investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan, there is necessity in creation of appropriate conditions for the investors oriented on raw materials sectors, sales markets and high technologies", he added.
According to Issekeshev, Kazakhstan should use all opportunities of the Customs Union, introduce appropriate amendments to the investment legislation, create innovative infrastructure etc to achieve the goals set.
In turn, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Kazykhanov told about the Ministry's twenty-year work on attraction of foreign investments, new technologies, and stimulation of export as well as improvement of business image of Kazakhstan abroad.
Having stated the Ministry's readiness to provide all-round assistance in achievement of these goals, Y. Kazykhanov pointed out the necessity of drafting a joint Action Plan on attraction of foreign investments which will allow increasing the effectiveness of common work.
